But When?

But when the words came real,
did he know his dream had vanished,
did he see the faces as the elegant
                                  yacht
sailed by,
or the glass which separated the
                                   linen and silver
from his silent gasp?

In a boundless reverie
“We are kings in our own fashion.”
Born out of longing he becomes desire,
and that desire creates a major world
wherein phantasy is truth,
and he has law to walk among his loves.
